The Gospel of John
Robert Tilley
(Live @ Lidcombe)
Thursdays: 8.15pm - 9.45pm
February 9 - March 29
St John’s Gospel can be called the first theology of the Holy Trinity, one told in a historical narrative structured
along the lines of the Temple in Jerusalem. John leads us through the mysteries of faith: the sacraments; Mary’s ‘Hour’ and
into the holiest place of all, the pierced heart of Jesus. Then, with the Spirit we are sent out into mission. Scholarship and
theology come together in this the most dazzling of the Gospels.

*TWO DAY INTENSIVE* Christian Traditions
David Schütz
(Live @ Lidcombe)
March 19 & 20
9.00am - 4.30pm
Many people around us come from other faith traditions within the Christian context: Orthodox, Baptist, Anglican,
Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc. How do their beliefs differ from those of the Catholic Church? What are their particular
traditions? How did these communities begin and where are they now? This topic will look at various ecclesial communities
and the reasons they separated from the Catholic Church. It provides a unique opportunity to understand the beliefs of
others with whom we come into contact in everyday life.
