Certificate in Faith Education
This certificate is designed to provide preparation for all those involved in passing on the faith to others, particularly teachers and catechists.
The certificate is accredited by the CEO - Sydney, and recognised by the CCD Sydney. This means that it is the ideal qualification for those wishing to teach RE in Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney, or those wishing to volunteer as catechists in public schools.
Students must complete 8 main subjects, with 2 units in each, comprising the following:
- the 6 core units
- Teaching Religion
- at least 3 Sacred Scripture units
- at least 2 Christian Life units
- at least 2 Church History units
- at least 2 units from the Elective list
When selecting your units, you may wish to seek the course supervisor's advice on appropriate units for you.
